General Recycling Procedures Delta Wide Recycling D.W.R. - Do Whats Right!

ITEM	HOW TO PREPARE	DO NOT INCLUDE
Container items may be placed together in recycling bin for collection
Aluminum Cans	Rinse well Do not crush	Foil Pie Tins
Steel Food Cans	Rinse well Labels may stay on	To recycle can lid, place it inside the can and crush the can.
Steel Aerosol Cans	MUST BE COMPLETELY EMPTY Remove plastic lid unless it's part of the can. Do not remove the nozzle.	NOTE: A magnet will "stick" to steel, but not aluminum
Plastic recyclables
Plastic bottles	Please rinse well and remove caps, look for the number inside the recycle arrows	We only except #1 and #2 Plastic, no other numbers are accepted
Paper products may be placed together for collection
Newsprint, Phone Books, Magazine/ Catalogs, Paper Back Books	Keep dry Remove/Discard phone book covers Bundled preferred, or bag	Tissue products Contaminated paper Nothing from your bathroom
Office/Mixed Paper copy paper computer paper file folders envelopes letterhead forms	Please bag if preshredded Staples and paper clips allowed	Absolutely NO carbon paper wax paper, transfer paper, tissue paper, paper towling, label backing sheets, books, metals, plastic, rubber bands, or food wrappers
Corrugated Cardboard must be flattened and no larger than 40" wide
Corrugated Cardboard Only!	Remove/Discard paper or plastic liners Flatten and bundle	food cantaminated cardboard, wax coated boxes, juice bozes, milk cartons, cereal/cake mix boxes, soda/beer cartons
ATTENTION Used syringes and lancets are not recyclable. Place in plastic or metal container. Be sure to reinforce the lid cover with duct tape. Label the full container "sharps" and discard with your household waste.
